DoCSE organized 3-Day Workshop on Understanding Plagiarism

Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DoCSE), School of Engineering, Kathmandu University organized “3-Day workshop on Understanding Plagiarism” (http://ku.edu.np/cse/workshop/2017/plagiarism/). The workshop was held from 21 to 23 June 2017. There were 30 participants (master students, PhD students and faculties) from different departments. Among them, one participant was from Pokhara University and another one from Tribhuwan University.

Dr. Manish Pokharel, Head of Department, welcomed all the participants. Mr. Bhim Dhoj Shrestha, Head of Library Science and Information System, TU, and Prof. Dr. Subodh Sharma (Director of Research Development & Consultancy, KU) were the guest speakers.

The main objective of the workshop was to make stakeholders aware about plagiarism. HoDs, coordinators from different Departments, and Research Committee members actively participated during the special discussion session. Prof. Dr. Bhupendra Bimal Chettri (Dean, School of Engineering) concluded the program with final remarks.

Dr. Laxman Gnawali (Associate Professor, SoEd), Dr. Biraj Singh Thapa (Assistant Professor, DoME), Dr. Anup Jung Thapa (Lecturer, DoEEE), Mr. Sushil Shrestha (Assistant Professor, DoCSE), Mr. Nawaraj Shrestha (Assistant Professor, DCGE) and Mr. Manoj Shakya (Assistant Professor, DoCSE) were the resource persons of this workshop.
