Ms. Ipek Karakurt, from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey, has successfully completed her tenure as the international intern in Digital Learning Research Lab. Ms. Karakurt was hired as a data scientist in the lab. She worked as the intern from February 19th, 2018 to April 1st, 2018.

Mr. Manish Joshi, who is one of the researchers of DLR Lab, has successfully defended his Master Thesis on February 25, 2018. The thesis was based on “Improving Teaching Learning experience in an Online Learning System by Implementing Knowledge Management Tools and Techniques”.

The members of DLR Lab along with the Dr. Manish Pokharel, HoD of DoCSE, and other faculty members celebrated Digital Learning Day on February 22, 2018.

Ms. Ipek Karakurt is appointed as the first International Intern for Digital Learning Research Lab (DLR Lab). She is from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. She will be working as Data Scientist in DLR Lab.

Mr. Shakya participated in The International Conference on Open and Innovative Education 2017 from July 11-17 in Hong Kong. The conference was organized by Open University of Hong Kong. He presented on “Reflections on First MOOC of Nepal: From Learners’ Perspective”. The co-authors of this paper are Sushil Shrestha, Rajesh Manandhar, Manish Joshi, and Prasamsa

Mr. Sushil Shrestha participated in Doctoral Research forum 2017: Instructional Design and Learning Analytics in MOOCs from July 10-17, 2017 in Beijing, China. The conference was organized by X-Learning Center, Graduate School of Education, Peking University, Beijing, China. He was invited as the guest speaker in this event.
